Give to Hospice Music Therapy

Banner Health’s President & CEO, Peter S. Fine, and his wife, Rebecca Ailes-Fine, have recently established the Fine Family Matching Challenge through the Banner Health Foundation.

The Fines will match donor gifts 50 cents on the dollar to build a $1.5 million endowment that will support and sustain Banner Hospice’s Music Therapy program in perpetuity.

For people like Pete, pictured above with Banner Hospice music therapist Tammy Reiver, music offers a priceless respite. Music therapy helps patients in hospice settings cope with their illness, decreases pain and stress, and provides a supportive tool for families and friends. For those with dementia and other cognitive disorders, music therapy has been shown to help improve focus and reduce anxiety.
